What is Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and how can it help me?

I love it when people ask me this! It gives me a chance to show them how passionate I am about it and how it can help with so many issues.

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is different from traditional ‘talking’ therapies. Rather than dwelling on past events and traumas, this form of therapy focuses on creating solutions so that you are able to flourish and find the future you deserve.

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy uses a mixture of psychotherapy and hypnosis/ trance to help people who are struggling with a variety of issues including anxiety related issues, stress, low mood, IBS, phobias and low confidence / self-esteem. It can be used to help people cope with chronic pain management, cope with menopausal symptoms and improve sporting performance. It can even help people who want to stop smoking or vaping! Pretty amazing!

Together we focus on what you would like your preferred future to look like. We use therapeutic tools and techniques based on the latest brain research to come up with realistic achievable goals and we work towards these in the sessions.

I love explaining to my clients ‘the science bit’: what is going on in your brain, why you are feeling the way you do and, more importantly, what we can do to help.

And that is when it happens! That light bulb moment! That moment when you realise that you hold all the solutions and creative abilities to make those positive changes towards your desired future. That moment is very special and makes my work so enjoyable.
